The major duties of CSF include:
1. convening annual meetings, seminars, and other colloquia in order to move towards a common understanding regarding the development of new products; legal, accounting, and taxation issues in secondary markets; standardization and information disclosure; and other issues relevant to the securitization industry;
2. fostering cooperative relationships between the asset securitization industry and the authorities, including regulatory authorities, legislation authorities and other policy-makers;
3. researching and analyzing current and emerging issues that may substantially affect the domestic asset securitization market;
4. using the network established by the Forum to strengthen the relationship between professional institutions with ties to the securitization industry and investors;
5. providing training services to relevant institutions;
6. publishing periodicals; and
7. either independently or in collaboration with other groups, developing activities that aid in the realization of the purposes of CSF, such as meetings, information exchanges and e-commerce.
